The invention relates to a gardening tool for tillage, said tool comprising a long vertical body (1) provided with two arms (2) on the upper part thereof, the free ends of said two arms forming gripping means (3), and a fork (4) on the lower part thereof, said fork having a plurality of teeth (21, 22, 23). The inventive tool is characterised in that each gripping means (3) can pivot in the hand of the user about a generally vertical axis when the user performs back-and-forth movements in the planes of symmetry, in order to generate alternate rotations of the fork (4) about the vertical axis of the long body (1).
