<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a preferable output image without fog in a wide process speed region. <P>SOLUTION: The method for forming an image includes steps of: charging an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a conductive support object and a photosensitive layer containing hydroxygallium phthalocyanine showing a maximum peak wavelength in the range from 810 to 839 nm of the absorption spectra in a 600 to 900 nm wavelength region; exposing the charged electrophotographic photoreceptor to form an electrostatic latent image; supplying a toner having 4×10<SP>-3</SP>to 20×10<SP>-3</SP>dielectric loss tangent (tanδ) to the photoreceptor to develop the electrostatic latent image to form a toner image on the photoreceptor; and transferring the toner image from the photoreceptor onto a transfer medium to form a toner image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
