PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of forming a pattern whose change in density is hard to be influenced by a capability of printer or the like to be used for image formation and which is easy to erase even with a copying machine of relatively high resolution. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus forms on a medium a first dot pattern remaining at the time of copying and a second dot pattern to be erased by copying.
