PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the wear resistance of a pneumatic tire by suppressing partial wear of a step-in end of a block arranged on a shoulder part without degrading the cut-resistant performance by improving a tread pattern. SOLUTION: A shallow groove 16 with one end thereof being opened in circumferential grooves 12A, 12B side and the other end thereof being terminated on the inner side of a tread end and having the depth of 0.3-0.6 time the depth of the circumferential grooves 12A, 12B is formed in blocks 15 of a shoulder part 11S demarcated by the two circumferential grooves 12A, 12B formed in the surface of a tread 11 of a pneumatic tire 10 and extending along the tire circumferential direction and a plurality of lug grooves (transverse grooves) 13 across the circumferential grooves 12A, 12B, respectively.
