PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dampening solution, which can solve the development of exfoliation in a roller, of poor inking in a CTP red plate and of white fogging in a solution supplying roller. SOLUTION: This lithographic printing dampening solution composition does not include phosphorus (P) and includes nitrate and further includes 3-methoxy-3-methyl-1-butanol and ethylene glycol monotertiarybutyl ether or propyl propylene glycol as a solvent under the condition that the ratio in weight of the nitrate to the total weight of the solvent is set to be 5/100-70/100 and its conductivity is set to be at least 10,000μS/cm.
