<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite member for polymer electrolyte fuel cell which is excellent in mechanical strength and electrical conductivity and resistant even under a high temperature condition, and can be manufactured of a cheep raw material. <P>SOLUTION: An isotropic graphite is impregnated with a thermosetting resin, and the thermosetting resin is cured to manufacture the graphite member for polymer electrolyte fuel cell. The isotropic graphite has a pore average radius of 2 μm or less and a linear expansion coefficient of 4.0×10<SP>-6</SP>to 5.5×10<SP>-6</SP>/°C in a temperature range of 50 to 400°C. The thermosetting resin has a volume expansion coefficient of ≤9×10<SP>-5</SP>/°C after the curing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
