GRAPHITE MEMBER FOR POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite member for polymer electrolyte fuel cell which is excellent in mechanical strength and electrical conductivity and resistant even under a high temperature condition, and can be manufactured of a cheep raw material.

SOLUTION: An isotropic graphite is impregnated with a thermosetting resin, and the thermosetting resin is cured to manufacture the graphite member for polymer electrolyte fuel cell. The isotropic graphite has a pore average radius of 2 μm or less and a linear expansion coefficient of 4.0×10-6to 5.5×10-6/°C in a temperature range of 50 to 400°C. The thermosetting resin has a volume expansion coefficient of ≤9×10-5/°C after the curing.
