<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability without lowering transmission efficiency regarding a redundant transmission system in which nodes are connected by an optical fiber transmission path. <P>SOLUTION: A node is provided with: an optical interface package 3-0 connected to an active system optical fiber transmission path 1-0; an optical interface package 3-1 connected to a standby system optical fiber transmission path 1-1; active system and standby system terminal connection packages 5-0, 5-1 of which the terminals are connected; and active system and standby system spatial switch packages 4-0, 401 for performing switching connection between the optical interface packages 3-0, 3-1 and the terminal connection packages 5-0, 5-1, wherein the terminal connection packages 4-0, 4-1 have buffer parts 7-0, 7-1 for buffering transmitted and received data and have structure for transmitting the buffered data to the buffering part 7-0, 7-1 when the standby system terminal connection package is switched to the active system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
