<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide double glazing excellent in durability by keeping the sealing property of a sealing material for a long term. <P>SOLUTION: A deformation absorbing part 26 formed on the upper face of a spacer 16 at the double glazing 10 is a part to absorb the displacement between the two sheets of glass plates 12, 12 caused by the expansion and contraction of the volume in an air layer 14 by deformation, has an upper plate 28 lengthened horizontally from a right wall face 16A forming the spacer 16 to a left wall face 16B and a lower plate 30 lengthened horizontally from the left wall face 16B to the right wall face 16A and is formed that the lower plate 30 is placed with a specified gap to the upper plate 28. The upper plate 28 and the lower plate 30 of the deformation absorbing part 26 are not connected and the elastic deformation to a closing direction and a parting direction for both the right wall face 16A and the left wall face 16B is allowed because of a flexible structure.
