<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents a detection member which judges a paper feed state by coming into direct contact with a transfer material from electrostatically being charged and also prevents an image defect due to a transfer material conveyance defect. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has the detection member 21 which judges the paper feed state of the transfer material S by coming into direct contact with the transfer material S in a path of the transfer material between a transfer section 9 and a fixation section 10, the detection member 21 being characterized in that a transfer material contact part 21A coming into contact with the transfer material S and a non-contact part 21B which does not come into contact with the transfer material S are different in volume resistivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
