<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transceiver module in which coupling efficiency from an LD to an optical fiber is increased and in which light receiving efficiency in a photo-diode is also increased for the light emitted from the optical fiber. <P>SOLUTION: This is the optical transceiver module that is connected to an optical fiber and that transmits the first light through the optical fiber while receiving the second light. The module includes: a light source for emitting the first light; a light receiving section for receiving the second light; a diffraction element for changing the traveling direction of at least one out of the first and the second light; a first lens that converges, on the light input/output face of the optical fiber, the first light emitted from the light source and made incident through the diffraction element and that converges, on the light receiving section through the diffraction element, the second light emitted from the optical fiber; and a second lens that suppresses the spread of the beam for the first light emitted from the light source to make the light enter the first lens through the diffraction element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
