<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle theft preventing system, capable of realizing both user's convenience and security. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle theft preventing system is provided with a management center, connected to on-vehicle equipment for detecting a theft related event regarding a vehicle theft through a communication line, which provides a vehicle theft preventing service having a plurality of security levels, regarding theft prevention of a vehicle loaded with on-vehicle equipment. The system includes a parking place detection means for detecting the parking position of the vehicle, a location detecting means for detecting a user location of the vehicle, a distance calculating means for calculating a distance between the parking place of the vehicle and the user location, and a security level setting means for setting the security level, based on the calculated distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
