<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bank which prevents the occurrence of color mixing, without degrading the productivity of a color filter. <P>SOLUTION: A groove 4, extending so as to enclose a pixel in the forming direction of the bank at approximately the central part between the adjacent pixels, is formed at the top end of the bank 2 installed upright on a substrate P formed with the color filter so as to form the pixels constituting the color filter. When the ink dropping into the pixel formed by the bank 2 spills out of the pixel, the bank 2 is set at a height, at which the groove 4 having the volume to permit accommodation of the ink spilling from the pixel can be formed so that the ink dropping into the pixel is accommodated into the groove 4, and color mixing can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
