<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device allowing easy input of information or an instruction to equipment without maloperation at hand as viewing a remote screen. <P>SOLUTION: An operating touch pad 4 is placed at hand of a user. One or more GUI components 3 for inputting the desired instruction or information by the user are displayed on a display 2. When the user puts a hand 6 on the touch pad 4 so as to select the GUI component 3, the touch pad 4 outputs contact position data showing a contact area with the hand 6. An image 7 of a hand shape model is produced from the contact position data outputted from the touch pad 4, and is displayed on the display 2. The user moves the hand 6 such that a fingertip of the hand shape model comes on the desired GUI component 3, and presses the touch pad 4, as viewing the image 7 of the hand shape model displayed on the display 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
