PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing system for enabling a plurality of users to share a data inputting format in a document unit, or the like. SOLUTION: A document generation system is provided with a document management server 100 and a plurality of multi-function devices 120. The plurality of multi-function devices 120 transmit a template identifier to the document management server 100, set a parameter received from the document management server 100 and transmit document data and sort information inputted according to the parameter to the document management server 100. The document management server 100 transmits a parameter defined by a template corresponding to the template identifier received from the multi function devices 120 to the multi-function devices 120 and sorts document data received together with the sort information from the multi-function devices 120 according to the sort information.
