PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image file from being redundantly recorded. SOLUTION: In an image file device 10, the storage date of an image file stored in every memory card 2 is stored as an image file storage history. When the memory card 2 is loaded on the image file device 10, the final storage date of the loaded memory card 2 is read. When the time stamp of the image file recorded in the memory card 2 is behind the final storage date, it is considered that the image file has not been recorded in the image file device 10.
