PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a placement method for a safety door to a machine tool, the door being post-mounted to a machine body and delivered in a separate set, which generates little rattling at the time of transportation. SOLUTION: After assembling and manufacturing this machine tool 1 with a working table 4 and a grinding wheel 3 mounted on a bed 2, a component prefabricated material of a safety door 10 is assembled to surround the bed 2, and post-placed on. In the safety door, a window plate 110 made of an L-shaped transparent resin plate is installed to a wall panel plate portion on a front side of the machine tool, where a worker faces to the grinding wheel 3, in a manner to be freely pushed into and pulled out of a left wall panel body 10b. The machine tool 1 is packaged and delivered separately from the prefabricated material constituting the safety door 10, so that rattling at the time of transportation is small.
