PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the shape of a rolled stock uniform over the entire length by making cooling conditions on upper and back surfaces of the hot-rolled rolled stock approximately equal to each other over the entire length. SOLUTION: A dummy member 15 which is equal in the thickness and the width is supplied before the rolled stock W in the stage where the rolled stock is conveyed to a cooling apparatus 2 and this rolled stock W is passed through the cooling apparatus 2 in the state that the top part of the rolled stock W is falsely extended forward.
