PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparing method for composite nano particles which can efficiently prepare the composite nano particles comprising fan-shaped and tree-shaped branched molecules by bonding or involving at least one kind selected from particle precursors, dye molecules and functional molecules, and to provide the composite nano particles. SOLUTION: The preparing method for the composite nano particles includes a composite nano particle forming process of forming the composite nano particles by bonding or involving at least one kind selected from the particle precursors, the dye molecules and the functional molecules to the fan-shaped and tree-shaped branched molecules. A method for chemically bonding the dye molecules to the fan-shaped and tree-shaped branched molecules, a method for bonding the dye molecules to the fan-shaped and tree-shaped branched molecules by an electrostatic interaction, and a method for involving the dye molecules in the fan-shaped and tree-shaped branched molecules by the van der Waals force, or the like, are preferable.
