PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for an aqueous metallic coating material suited to a cementitious base material. SOLUTION: The coating method for sequentially coating the cementitious base material with an aqueous coloring coating material and an aqueous metallic coating material is provided, wherein an aqueous coloring coating material contains a synthetic resin emulsion and a coloring pigment as essential components, 1-500 pts.wt. of the coloring pigment per 100 pts.wt. of solid of the synthetic resin emulsion is contained, the aqueous coloring coating material has a color differenceΔE of 20 or less between the aqueous metallic coating material has a viscosity of 0.1-6Pa s and a thixotropy index of 6.0 or less, and coating is performed so that the solid of the aqueous coloring coating material per unit area is to be 30g/m<SP>2</SP>or more.
