摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic apparatus capable of controlling the brightness in real time. SOLUTION: A light source device and a video processor are connected by a signal cable 6. The signal cable 6 consists of two systems of three-line synchronous serial communication lines 101 (for transmitting diaphragm control signals) and three-line synchronous serial communication lines 102 (for transmitting sensor detection signals), and one system of seven-line non-synchronous serial communication lines 103. The three-line synchronous serial communication lines 101 transmit diaphragm control signals for controlling a diaphragm of the light source device from the video processor to the light source in real time. The three-line synchronous serial communication lines 101 also transmit sensor detection signals from a sensor for detecting the opening/closing position of the diaphragm from the light source device to the video processor in real time.
