PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make talks audible by reducing the noise of a dot line printer because talks or talks over the telephone near the dot line printer become inaudible due to the noise of the dot line printer. SOLUTION: The dot line printer has a silencing function by being provided with a silencing switch to temporarily reduce noise during the depressing of the silencing switch on an operating panel or a wireless remote control or has a silencing function to continuously reduce noise by being provided with a silencing mode for setting from the operating panel and a host equipment.
