The invention relates to a method for forming a train from individual cars without tractive equipment, especially railroad cars. According to said method, at least one tractive unit (2) is coupled with at least one autonomously driven first individual car (3.1) to give a consist (1), said first individual car being a supply car (3.1) which is adapted to provide substantially the entire power and/or information requirement of at least one second individual car (3.2) which cannot be autonomously driven in normal operation.
