PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile type information apparatus of estimating a user's position and a method of moving this in a robot type mobile type information apparatus using a network.

SOLUTION: The mobile type information apparatus includes: communication units S, 26 for collecting the using states of a plurality of devices in the network; estimating units S, 26 for estimating the user's position based on the using states of the plurality of the devices collected by the communication unit; and a moving unit 13 for moving the housing of the moving type information apparatus according to the user's position estimated by the estimating unit.
