<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate for a liquid crystal display device where the stuck state of a polarizing film and a polarizing film protection film is stable and which is excellent in visibility by eliminating a phenomenon that the periphery part of a liquid crystal screen looks whitish in a forced deterioration test for predicting long-term durability, and used for the backlight side of a liquid crystal cell and a liquid crystal display device, and to provide the polarizing plate and the liquid crystal display device made inexpensive and good in mass productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate is used for the backlight side of the liquid crystal cell of the liquid crystal display device. The polarizing plate has a particulate containing thin film layer between the polarizing film and a polarizing film protection cellulose ester film, or has a hard coat layer on the backlight side surface of the polarizing film protection cellulose ester film, and has an antistatic layer between the polarizing film protection cellulose ester film and the particulate containing thin film layer, or has the antistatic layer between the polarizing film protection cellulose ester film and the hard coat layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
