PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide telephone communication equipment/method for notifying that a user is during speech communication, to a second opposite party before notifying to the user when there is an incoming call from the second opposite party during speech communication between the user and a first opposite party. SOLUTION: In a VoIP telephone set 1, notification to the user of the VoIP telephone set 1 is not performed under no condition even if there is the incoming call from a terminal machine 12 of the second opposite party during speech communication with a terminal machine 11 of the first opposite party, but that the user is during speech communication is notified to the terminal machine 12 of the second opposite party. Notification is made by voice guidance and busy tone of PSTN. The second opposite party can easily learn that the user is not absent but he or she is during speech communication with the other opposite party. When a specified signal is transmitted by a DTMF signal if urgency exists in a matter of the second opposite party, an operation can be set so that notification of the incoming call similar to interruption service of PSTN is performed.
