PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superimposed type image viewing apparatus, capable of efficiently displaying information while viewing an object in a real viewing field, in a superimposed way. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises an image recognition section 105 for specifying an imaged object through image recognition; an electronic information display section 101 for displaying object information, regarding the specified object 110 at a predetermined display viewing angle B; an imaging section 104 for imaging the object 110 at an imaging angle A, which is larger than the angle of the display viewing angle B with 10°added; and a half-transmissive optical element 102 for displaying the object information displayed on the electronic information display section 101 on the real viewing field of the object 110, in a superimposed way.
