摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact type angular position sensor capable of compensating automatically an error of an output signal, in the angular position sensor for providing a linear output over a relatively wide range. SOLUTION: This angular position sensor includes an electronic circuit 300 capable of compensating automatically the output signal of the linear displacement sensor used for detecting an angular position of a device. The electronic circuit 300 includes an ADC 302 for receiving the actual output signal from the sensor, and an electronic memory 306 for storing a theoretical value of the output signal from the sensor in a prescribed angular position. The electronic circuit 300 generates a compensation value based on a deviation of the actual sensor output signal from the theoretical value, the compensation value is stored in the electronic memory 306, the actual sensor output signal is compensated automatically using the compensation value, the actual sensor output signal is multiplied with the compensation value to be adjusted to detection sensitivity of the sensor, or the actual sensor output signal is multiplied with the compensation value to be adjusted to an offset of the sensor.
