PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency drive power supply of high efficiency for driving an induction heating coil. SOLUTION: The high-frequency drive power supply includes a first switching means 1 controllable in the positive half-cycle interval of a commercial AC power supply; a second switching means 2 controllable in the negative half-cycle interval of the commercial AC power supply; a third switching means 3 that bypasses the first switching means to the negative half cycle of the commercial AC power supply; a fourth switching means 4 that bypasses the second switching means to the positive half cycle of the commercial AC power supply; and a drive circuit 15. The drive circuit controls the first switching means via the fourth switching means in the positive half-cycle interval of the commercial AC power supply, in response to a high-frequency drive control signal coming from a drive control signal generating part, and controls the second switch means via the third switching means in the negative half-cycle interval of the commercial AC power supply. When no high-frequency drive control signal is inputted, the first and second switching means keep the commercial AC power supply on in the positive and negative half-cycle intervals of the power supply, respectively.
