PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float valve improving a liquid leak prevention function without increasing number of parts. SOLUTION: In the float valve 1 enabling coming and going of gas between an inside and an outside of a fuel tank through an opening part 11 provided on a case body 10 and preventing fuel in the fuel tank from leaking out of the fuel tank by closing the opening part 11 by a valve body part 21 when a fuel level surface in a float chamber R rises to a determined level or higher, a communication passage 12 keeping communication between the inside and the outside of the float chamber R and forming a passage of gas in the fuel tank is provided on a side wall of the case body 10, and a fence 30A preventing splash O of fuel in the fuel tank from directly entering the communication passage 12 is formed on a cap 30B as one unit.
