PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-dispersible resin composition having excellent efflorescence resistance, water resistance, alkali resistance, adhesiveness to inorganic substrate, adhesiveness to top coat, etc. SOLUTION: The water-dispersible resin composition contains a copolymer resin emulsion produced by the emulsion polymerization of an unsaturated monomer mixture composed of (a) a polymerizable unsaturated monomer free from acid group and hydrolyzable silyl group, (b) a polymerizable unsaturated monomer containing a specific amount of an acid group, (c) a polymerizable unsaturated monomer having a hydrolyzable silyl group and (d) a polymerizable unsaturated monomer containing a cyclic ureide group and expressed by formula (1) (R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R<SP>2</SP>is a 2-10C bivalent alkylene group; and R<SP>3</SP>is a 2-3C bivalent alkylene group) in the presence of (e) a specific amount of a reactive surfactant.
