PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping device which can integrally connect a fixed mold and a movable mold to attach/detach them to/from a main mold and can rationalize the conveyance and maintenance of the molds of large mass. SOLUTION: A pull stud is fixed to the movable mold, a shaft with a dog which is always biased in the direction of integration is set in the fixed mold, and a collet which is opened/closed by the forward/backward movement of the shaft is set at the tip of the shaft with the dog. The pull stud is gripped by operating the collet by the dog to clamp both molds integrally. Moreover, a barrel-shaped rolling body is set between a male and female tapered parts formed in the shaft with the dog and a collet supporting shaft, force for clamping the movable mold to the fixed mold is increased, and the occurrence of indentations is prevented. By forming the male tapered part on a conical surface 21b of a rotary surface in which an arc having a radius larger than that of the cross section of the rolling body is rotated around the axis of the shaft with the dog on the cross section of the shaft with the dog, a self-lock function to external force is strengthened.
