PURPOSE:To decrease the influence that the result of measurement receives without allowing a difference in temp. existing between a sample liquid and reference liquid to strongly affect an extinction coefft. by permitting heat exchange between the sample liquid and the reference liquid merely in a reference cell. CONSTITUTION:A standard liquid having a concn. corresponding to zero of a measurement range is first injected into a measuring cell 8 from a standard liquid tank 11 and a zero adjustment is carried. While this state is maintained, a knob 34 is pulled up and a span filter 33 is positioned in the optical path on the measurement side, then a span adjustment is carried out until a registered value indicates a prescribed concn. The standard liquid advances from the cell 8 through a connecting pipe 22 to an injection port 19 of an outside cylinder 13 of the reference cell 9, circulates in the cylinder 13 and is discarded 20. The standard liquid and the reference liquid are subjected to the heat exchange in the cell 9 at the time of the span adjustment. Since the standard liquid can be supplied in a large volume, the reference liquid can be unlimitedly approximated to the same temp. as the temp. of the standard liquid. |
