<p>There are provided a camera and a camera device capable of providing information on an object existing around a vehicle and predicted to be highly necessary for a driver of the vehicle as a preferable video. The camera device mounted on a vehicle includes a camera (1) for imaging the vicinity of the vehicle, a monitor (4) for displaying a camera video to the driver, and a sensor (3) for detecting an object around the vehicle. The camera (1) has an adjusting unit (15) for automatically adjusting the gain and diaphragm, and a reference deciding unit (14) for deciding an image area to be the adjustment reference by using the output of the sensor (3). With this configuration, it is possible to realize a camera device capable of providing information on the object existing around the vehicle and predicted to be highly necessary for the driver as a preferable video.</p> |
