The proposed method for measuring power losses in mains consists in measuring current in each line of the mains for a specified period of time, determining the indicator for each line, where Ii is current in the i-th line, ti is the period of measuring current in the line, and N is the number of the lines, determining the resistance of each line at different instants and at different ambient temperatures, determining power losses in each line by the equation ?W = Ari, where ri is the resistance of the i-th line, determining power losses in transformers and insulation depending on the operation conditions and time, and determining the total power loses for the specified period of time as the sum of all the power loss components.
