A cyclonic dust-collecting apparatus includes a cyclone body (101) having a suction port (110) through which air is drawn in, and a discharge port (120) through which the air is discharged. A grille (130) is connected to the discharge port (120), for filtering the air A dust receptacle (140) is connected to the cyclone body (101), for collecting dust separated from the air which is drawn in through the suction port (110). A downstream guide part (150) is provided for preventing dust collected in the dust receptacle (140) from being scattered, and guiding dust particles having at least one of a predetermined weight and a predetermined size downwardly in a spiral direction towards to the dust receptacle. The guide part (150) is helically shaped with an upper leading edge (165), facing the air flow and a lower trailing edge (163). The upper leading edge (165) may have a portion (155a, fig.7) with a wider radius than the remainder of the guide part (150). A second guide member (176) is a rib which extends from the inner cyclone wall and corresponds to the cut away section (161) of the guide part (150).
