Freezable projection display

The system has a display to control visible light and to sense a projected optical signal. The display freezes a live projected image by storing the signal related to the live image in a memory (48) related with the display and controls the visible light related to the stored signal to form a frozen projection image (18). The display presents annotation image given by an annotation implement and the frozen image. Independent claims are also included for the following. (a) a display cell for use in a display (b) a display method for use with a display.
