The invention relates to a membrane and to a method for producing the membrane provided for covering detection elements of physico-chemical and biochemical signal converters with a variably configurable permeation analyte window in a membrane that is originally impermeable to an analyte. According to the invention, the variably configurable permeation analyte window is comprised of a single or of several permeation analyte partial windows, which can each be produced using printing or lithographic techniques, and whose area effective for the analyte transfer is determined by the size of the area of the single window or by the sum of the areas of all permeation analyte windows according to the requirements of the analyte transfer. The analyte window can be produced using photolithography, electron lithography or X-ray lithography, and the membrane is comprised of novolaks, naphthoquinone diazide, polymer materials, preferably epoxy compounds, polymethacrylates, polyurethane material, polycarbonate material and cellulose acetate material or regenerated cellulose. The inventions are advantageous in that they enable the realization of a membrane configuration which, with a reproducibility of their permeability properties that, until now, was unmatched, influences the transfer of analytes to the effect that, also in high analyte concentrations and without sample dilution, a complete reaction of the quantity of analyte that reaches the detection element is ensured.
|
