METHOD FOR PREDICTING EFFICACY OF TREATING CHRONIC CARDIAC FAILURE WITH BETA-ADRENOBLOCKER

The method for predicting the efficacy of treating the chronic cardiac failure with beta-adrenoblocker provides for estimating the functional state of the muscles in the lower limbs prior to prescribing beta-adrenoblocker. Carvedilol is used as a component of the complex therapy. Prior to the prescription of the starting dose of the drug, the statodynamic assay for the muscles in the lower limbs is performed with the assessment of the index of maximal voluntary force of the muscles of the rear part of the hip. The value above 7 N.m2.kg-1 suggests the efficacy of beta-adrenoblocker estimated in 12 weeks of the treatment.
