摘要 PURPOSE:To very high-efficiently and completely sterilize in a short time, by a method wherein the interior of a sterilizer containing a substance to be sterilized is cooled to a temperature approximately equal to or lower than the condensation temperature of sterilizing gas, the interior of the sterilizer is forced into a vacuum state and is filled with sterilizing gas, the sterilizing gas is caused to permeate the substance to be sterilized and is adhered thereto, and the interior of the substance to be sterilized is heated to a sterilizing processing temperature. CONSTITUTION:Before sterilizing gas 4 is fed in a sterilizer containing a substance 1 to be sterilized, and the interior of the sterilizer and the substance 1 to be sterilized are cooled to a temperature approximately equal or lower than the condensation temperature of the sterilizing gas 4. By this cooling, the molecules of remaining gas 3 in a fine pores 2 of the substance 1 to be sterilized decreases a partial pressure and is brought into a state in which it is apt to come out to the outside. After the interior of the sterilizer is brought into a vacuum state, the given sterilizing gas 4 is injected. The sterilizing gas 4 has a low temperature and a low partial pressure, a flying distance of a molecule is low, and the gas is smoothly permeated deep in the fine pore 2 of the substance 1 to be sterilized and rapidly adsorbed. After that, the interior of the sterilizer is heated to the sterilizing processing temperature of the sterilizing gas 4 and is left standing for a proper time. This method completely sterilizes and kills germs adhered on the surface of the substance to be sterilized and to a portion deep in the fine pore by means of the sterilizing gas adhered thereto.
