PURPOSE: To assay both antibody and antigen utilizing the aggregation phenome non in bringing an appropriate antigen into contact with an unagregated bovine erythroid cell bonded with an anti-immunoglobulin reagent. CONSTITUTION: An unagregated bovine erythroid cell 1 is bonded with an anti-μantibody 2 and the erythroid cell 1 is brought into contact with the serum of a patient thus capturing an IgM 3. The IgM 3 has a specific antibody binding site 4. When the erythroid cell 1 thus treated is added with an appropriate antigen 5, hemagglutination takes place and the antibody can be assayed by determining occurrence of hemagglutination. Furthermore, an unagregated erythroid 10 is bonded with immunogloburin bonded antibodies 11, 12 and brought into contact with monoclonal antibodies 13, 14 specific to an antigen to be measured. Hemagglutination takes place when a microorganism antigen 17 having restoration epitope being recognized by the antibody binding site 18 of monoclonal antibody is added and thereby the antigen can be assayed.
