The vehicle (10) has a transmission (18) installed in the drive train, and a wheel arch (20) which encompasses one of the wheels (22) on the vehicle side. An air guiding device (26) has an inlet (28) installed on the wheel arch and an air guiding duct (30) connected to the inlet for the directing of air from the wheel arch to the transmission. An air guiding device may be installed on the wheel arches of both front wheels of the vehicle. An independent claim is included for an air guiding device for the directing of air to the transmission of a vehicle.
