<p>In a process to convert straight synthetic multifilament fibres to wrinkled fibres by curling action in a jet, the multifilament fibres are fed to a jet (2) with two formed ceramic parts (1). The ceramic parts consist of two flat plates with precisely formed interlocking parts (5, 26, 8, 29). The two ceramic parts form a jet tip within the fibre feed duct. Each half (1) of the ceramic jet has circular drill holes that receive matching locating pins passing through both halves. Each half of the ceramic plate has a semi-circular groove that on assembly forms part of the fibre duct.</p> |
