摘要 The proposed method for measuring the thickness of an article consists in determining the correlation function of radio pulses passing through the article, the spectrum of the correlation function, and the interval between the adjacent components of the spectrum of the correlation function that corresponds to the time interval during which the radio pulse traverses the distance that is equal to the double thickness of the article. The present invention provides a possibility to increase the measurement accuracy due to the decrease of the signal-to-noise ratio and exclude the necessity to determine maximums of the correlation function.
