PURPOSE:To obtain the title toner having satisfactory fixing effect, high offsetting resistance and superior stability against environmental change by incorporating a >= trihydric alcohol and/or a >= tribasic carboxylic acid into a polyester resin and regulating a sum of an acid value and a OH value to <=20mg/KOH. CONSTITUTION:In a toner consisting of a polyester resin consisting primarily of a diol component and a dicarboxylic acid component, and a charge regulator, and a colorant, a >= trihydric alcohol and/or a >= tribasic carboxylic acid is incorporated into the polyester resin, and a sum of the acid value and the OH value is regulated to <=20mg KOH. By reducing the acid value to above level, a content of carboxyl group in the polyester resin is reduced, and the toner becomes scarcely hygroscopic at high humidity. Thus, a toner to be used for fixing with a hot roller having satisfactory fixing effect, high offsetting resistance, fixability at low temp. and superior fluidity, further having changeability for frictional electricity which is stable in a range from a high temp. high humidity condition to a low temp. low humidity condition, is obtd. |
