In the present invention, there is disclosed a mineral fiber insulation product comprising, in combination, a longitudinally extending mineral fiber core (20) formed from mineral, particularly glass fibers provided with a binding agent and having a first major surface (14) and an opposed second major surface (12), opposed side surfaces (16, 18) and opposed end surfaces (22, 24), further a first covering (50), extending over said first major surface (14) and attached to the upper first major surface (14), and a bottom second covering (30) extending over said second major surface (12). Said first covering (50) extends beyond said opposed side surfaces (16, 18) and extends, at least partially, over the second major surface (12) and is attached to at least one of the side surfaces (16, 18). The bottom second covering (30) is formed of mineral fiber material covering the core (20) and reducing vapor permeability or of a mineral fiber material protecting the core (20) against mutual contact and loosening of fibers and the first covering (50) is made of non-woven material web enabling escape or air or of perforated plastic foil. |
