Removal of coke dust from circulating gas in coke dry cooling plant - with return of gas to coke shaft after extraction of waste heat and dust

This is a method, with the associated plant, for removing coke dust from the circulating gas of a coke dry-cooling plant having gas cooling and surface cooling. The gas, containing the dust, leaves a coke cooling shaft, turns (pref. about 90 deg.) into a gas duct, and after extraction of waste heat and dust is returned to the coke shaft. By turning into the gas duct and being led along near the duct inner wall, the coke dust is cleaned off and is removed from the duct. A variant is claimed for the cleaned-off dust to be sucked out and led to the dust collector, and several variants are claimed for the dry-cooling plant. USE/ADVANTAGE - This is a simple and improved method for removing the coke dust fromm a dry-cooling plant, and in particular provides a simple means of removing coarse dust before the extraction of waste heat.
