The profile frame (1) has a U-shaped holder profile (2), with the legs of the U forming an abutment bar (4) and a clamping bar, to clamp the planar element (3). The clamping bar has a clamp area and a deformation area, which deforms, to press the clamp area onto the planar element. The deformation area may be a thinner area of may have one or two buckling points.
