PURPOSE:To improve the S/N by detecting a level of a reproduced FM signal and controlling the amount of frequency correction in response to said level. CONSTITUTION:An AM detector 9 detects the magnitude of a level of the reproduced FM signal, the result is outputted to an impedance variable means 10, then an output signal Y of the means 10 is inputted to a frequency correcting circuit 7. The circuit 7 applies the frequency correction in response to the level of an inputted signal X to a reproduced video signal being an output of a de- emphasis circuit 6 and outputs a video signal applied with frequency correction to a terminal 8. As a result, since the amount of frequency correction in response to the reproduced FM signal is set, the difference of the S/N is reduced regardless of the tape characteristic and difference of kinds causing variation in the reproduced FM signal level, and a stable reproducing signal is formed. |
