PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving belt hoop deflection amount measuring instrument capable of quickly measuring circumferential fluctuation in lateral deflection of a hoop as a whole with high reliability. SOLUTION: When a contact face 68 of a contactor 58 formed longer than a lamination thickness T of a hoop part 36 and arranged in a position, in which it can touch either of respective hoops 36, is brought into contact with a side end face of a hoop 36 most deflected by energizing force of a spring 70, the position of the contactor 58 represents the position of the side end face of the most deflected hoop 36, so that when the position of the contactor 58 is detected by means of a differential transformer type displacement sensor 56, and by means of a driving belt turning device 23, the driving belt 34 wound on a pair of pulleys 18 and 22 in the driving belt turning device 23 are turned, circumferential fluctuation in the lateral deflection of the hoop 36 as a whole can be measured quickly. Because fluctuation in the lateral deflection is measured from the contactor 58 position, restriction on a lubrication oil quantity is not required, and measurement can be carried out while an actual vehicle condition is reproduced. Consequently, highly reliable measurement can be performed. |
