PURPOSE: An apparatus and its method are provided to access an operator to access extra data on a channel by searching data to be transmitted through multi-channels of a digital broadcasting signal and displaying the searched data. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(12) receives a digital broadcasting signal, wherein the digital broadcasting signal has at least one of digital television programming packets and at least one of data packets. A demodulator(14) coupled with the receiver(12) demodulates the digital broadcasting signal. A detector(16) coupled with the demodulator(14) detects the data packets of at least one. A memory(20) coupled with the detector(16) stores the data packets of at least one detected by the detector(16), and stores a data searching software code for searching data contained in the data packets of at least one for Web browsing. A processor(18) coupled with the memory(20) executes the data searching software code. An operator interface module(21) coupled with the processor(18) allows the operator to specify a search reference and display the data met with the search reference.
